Affiliate Disclosure
BeSafe Home Security earns commissions from the links on this site. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We participate in other affiliate programs as well.
If you click a link here and buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. It costs you nothing extra and it does not change the price you pay.
This disclosure is made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).
What Commissions Do Not Buy
This is the part that matters, so we will be specific.
- No brand can pay for a ranking. Not a position, not a score, not inclusion in a guide.
- Commission rates never affect our recommendations. We do not know, and do not check, which product pays us more before we decide what to recommend. We routinely put cheaper, lower-paying products at the top of a list because they were the right answer.
- No company previews our articles. Nobody outside our team sees a review before it publishes, and nobody gets approval or veto over it.
- We have no dealer or monitoring relationships. We are not a lead generator. Nothing you do on this site results in a sales call.
- We do not publish sponsored posts presented as editorial, and we do not accept supplied content.
When the right answer for a reader is a product we earn nothing on, or no purchase at all, we say that.
Review Units
We buy the products we test at retail wherever we can. When a manufacturer sends a unit instead, the article discloses it. A loaned or gifted product never earns a better score, and we do not trade coverage for hardware.
Programs We Participate In
- Amazon Services LLC Associates Program
- Other retailer and brand affiliate programs, disclosed where relevant
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Prices and Availability
Prices, availability and product specifications on Amazon and other retailers change frequently and without notice. Any price shown on this site is accurate as of the time of publication or last update, and may have changed since. Always confirm the current price, model number and specifications on the retailer’s page before you buy.
Product details displayed from Amazon are provided through the Amazon Product Advertising API and are subject to change.
Not Professional Advice
Our articles are consumer reviews, not professional, legal or code advice. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarm placement, hardwired alarms, electrical work and permanent or load-bearing installations should follow your local building and fire code, and in many cases a licensed professional. Requirements vary by state and municipality.
